Baptism

Griefshare
The next meeting is Tues., Feb. 7, in the Library, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. We will continue to look at various aspects of the grief process. Griefshare is a great help to people who are dealing with the loss of a loved one.

Bundles of Love
If you would like to participate in putting together provisions for one of our shut-ins, please go to our Information Desk for a list of needs and a box to fill. (Or team up with a friend to fill a box.) Please have the box filled and returned to the church by February 12 so that they can be delivered by Valentine’s Day. Questions? ADULT EDUCATION
Hearing God
Each Sunday at 10:15 a.m. in the Sanctuary, Senior Pastor Geoff Chapman and Vinnie Burens lead a class looking carefully at the issues raised in our current sermon series, Hearing God. Chapter-by-chapter, you’ll work through Dallas Willard’s wonderfully helpful book, “Hearing God, Developing a Conversational Relationship with God.” Each class features a 20-minute presentation by Geoff or Vinnie, followed by interactive discussion.

Each week during the Sunday School Hour, Dave Wollman facilitates an interactive study of the book of Colossians,

ANCHOR 20’s & 30’s
Gospel and the Office 
The Gospel According to The Office is coming back on Wed., Feb 8 at 6:30 p.m. This will be a one week event this time around. Dinner included, $5 donation is suggested to help cover costs.

Evensong  
Anchor's monthly worship service combines ancient forms of Anglican prayer with contemporary and classic hymns, performed "unplugged" and acoustic. Join us Wed., Feb. 18, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.

Anchor Small Groups
We have small groups of men, women, and married couples that meet weekly to read and discuss the Bible (or a book about our faith), talk about their lives, and pray for one another. These are groups where real friendships are formed. Want to get involved? Email spalmer@ststephenschurch.net.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
Calling All Fourth and Fifth Grade Girls!
On Fri., Feb. 24, we’ll have a Girl’s Night for our fourth and fifth grade girls. Get ready for a night filled with crafts, an ice cream sundae bar, and hear about what God has to say about friendship. Bring your girlfriends and meet in Promiseland from 7:30-9:30. First Communion Class
Our Communion Class for elementary children will take place on Sat., Mar. 24, from 9-11:30 a.m. Your child will learn about what it means to partake in the Lord’s Supper and prepare them for this special time. Noah’s Ark Opens Registration

MEN’S MINISTRY
When you see the culture deteriorating, have you ever wondered why it often seems like God doesn’t care? Or if He does, why doesn’t He do something? Chuck Gratner is leading a three-week series on the book of Habakkuk. Start your day on the right foot. Come on Mondays from 7-8 a.m. on the second floor of the Henning House for this study. We’ll all head out for breakfast at Eat ‘n Park afterward.

PASTORAL CARE
Freedom in Christ Retreat
The Lazarus Center invites you to take part in a life changing weekend Feb. 24 -26. The three-day retreat combines biblical teachings on Christian principles of growth, healing and wellness with private time to study, reflect and listen to the Lord. It is a retreat for those who are serious about growing in that relationship and receiving healing and freedom in their lives. It will be held at The Castle in Franklin, PA. Girls Retreat

Valentine’s Day at the Christy House
February 10 is the day for celebrating Valentine’s Day at the Christy House Ministry! Bring a friend to enjoy a nutritious lunch 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and then shop for your loved ones in the Needles Eye or the Earthly Treasures, knowing that you have helped children's and women's missions. Tuesday Teaching Series - John
Feel free to join us for this no-homework study. John's purpose is to strengthen our faith and assurance of salvation. We meet from 10:30-11:30am in the Lecture Hall each Tuesday. Each week stands on its own, so come when you are able.

Thursday Dinner Group
Join us on Feb. 9 as Lauren Scharf teaches from Luke 7, the woman at Simon's home. TDG is for single women of all ages and stations of life. We meet for dinner, teaching and fellowship. If you have never attended, we encourage you to join us--you will leave well fed and with several new friends! Dinner ($3) begins at 6 p.m. in the Christy House; teaching follows at 7 p.m. Childcare is provided. Reservation required.

Woman on a Mission
