Worship each week at St. Stephen’s is one of our most important efforts. Offering five different services that each have their distinctive style takes a careful coordination between no less than 13 volunteer teams alongside the efforts of most of our staff. We would love to have your help on these teams! Why not pick an area and lend a hand! Contact the team leaders listed below.

mMusic Teams
Music Ministry: Lead worship, praise and offerings. This team will be highly skilled and provide both excellent and heartfelt contemporary and classic music.

St. Stephen’s Chancel Choir – Our chancel choir sings during the 9:00am traditional service and is under the direction of Kelly Nan, organist and choir master.  The choir repertoire includes classical, gospel and contemporary choral works.  The chancel choir is a fun and musical group filled with willing hearts and voices that want to praise God and lead others in worshipping Him.

Choir practice is on Thursday evenings in the choir room from 7:00pm until 9:00pm.  We also have choir rehearsals on Sundays after the education hour when we are preparing for Christmas and Easter services.

If you are interested in chancel choir membership and you are 14 years of age or older please contact Kelly Nan.

The St. Stephen’s Children’s Choir -    Once a month the children’s choir sings during the 9:00am worship service in the Sanctuary.  This is a wonderful way that the children are able to participate in worship.

The children’s choir rehearses on Thursdays at 5:30 until 6:30pm in the choir room during the school year.  The choir is open to children between the ages of 6 and 11.  During rehearsals children learn scripturally based music, learn the fundamentals of singing and have fun.

We welcome any child who loves to sing and wants to use their voice to praise the Lord!

The St. Stephen’s Bell choir – St. Stephen’s has a small seasonal bell choir that meets at times suitable to the bell choir members.  The bell choir consists of two octaves of bells that were donated by a congregation member.  The bells are rung during holiday and other special worship services.

Instrumental Ministry -  Many different instruments are used in the music ministry at St. Stephen’s.   An orchestra accompanies the choir during the Christmas Eve services and is filled with congregation members.  Other instruments are used throughout the year to enhance the worship services during the preludes, anthems and other music in the services.  If you play an instrument proficiently and would like to share your talent please contact Kelly Nan.

Worship Team: This keyboard and guitar based band leads worship on Saturdays at 6pm and Sundays at 11:15 am, and anchors our contemporary sound at other special events in the parish.
