Welcome to the Christy House- where gracious hospitality and fellowship abound amidst a beautiful Victorian setting. Open to the public, this lovely home (circa 1862) is located on the corner of Frederick and Walnut Streets in Sewickley. A Friday tradition at St. Stephen's since 1976, guests are invited to enjoy lunch from 11:30 am to 1:30pm. Shopping for special gift items and collectibles in the Needles Eye and Earthly Treasures adds a bonus The dining room, enhanced with fresh flowers, crisp linens, and floral china, welcomes guests for seating at tables for two or more. A traditional lunch menu, your choice of two soups, or a set menu, salad, homemade bread and cookies, is lovingly prepared with sensitivity to taste and presentation, just right for a mid-day perk. Enthusiastic women of all ages prosper the ministry in preparing, serving, shop tending and clean up. Prayer, covering every Friday opening, binds the team together in the spirit of serving the Lord, as we serve one another. The fruits are abundant- a hurting heart consoled, a friendship rekindled, relationships built, "take outs" to home bound, hidden talents discovered, laughter and joy- nourishment for the soul. The Lord's blessings abound in this place. Reservations are not required but recommended. Please call 412-741-5960 between 9:30 am and 2:30pm on Fridays. Lunch is served every Friday except near holidays. |
